Djorff Palace
Djorff Palace has seventeen rooms at Al Aqaletah on the west bank, and no two of them are the same. Each carries a name, from Pearl and Amber to Lapis and Ruby, and they run from 29 to 59 m2, all of them built for two. The Colossi of Memnon are 4.9 km away, Medinet Habu 5 km and the Valley of the Kings 7 km up the road. Luxor Temple is 4.5 km across the river and the airport 12 km, and the house runs a shuttle.
The ground floor rooms open onto their own patio and terrace through a private entrance; the ones above are reached by stairs and have balconies over the river, the garden and the pool. Fifteen of the seventeen have wooden floors, and every room has air conditioning, a minibar, a fridge, a safe, bathrobes and a private bathroom. Outside there is a heated pool open all year, with a shallow end, towels and a bar beside it, a garden, a terrace and a chapel on the grounds. The desk arranges hiking, horse riding, cycling and fishing, and parking is free on site. Check-in runs from 15:00 to 23:30 and check-out from 05:00 to 12:00, early enough for a dawn start on the west bank.
